Doug is from Winston-Salem, NC and graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science. After college, he spent two years in Wyoming and Colorado as a ski instructor and on the EMT/Ski Patrol team. He then returned to Winston-Salem and received his Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Wake Forest School of Medicine. He began working at AUNC upon graduation. He currently lives in Durham and enjoys taking his dog to the Eno River, hiking in Boone, NC, exploring new restaurants, and attending Carolina Hurricanes and ACC sporting events.
