IR Center: Minimally Invasive, Image-Guided Treatment

Advanced options, without traditional surgery.

Our Interventional Radiology (IR) Center offers targeted, catheter-based treatments guided by imaging rather than open or robotic surgery. These outpatient procedures are typically done through a small puncture in the wrist or groin, with faster recovery and fewer side effects than traditional surgical approaches — a good fit for men looking to avoid surgery or who aren’t ideal surgical candidates.

BPH Treatment: Prostatic Artery Embolization

For men with moderate-to-severe urinary symptoms from an enlarged prostate, prostatic artery embolization (PAE) reduces blood flow to the prostate so it gradually shrinks over one to three months — with low risk to sexual function and a rapid return to normal activity.

Erectile Dysfunction: Venous Leak Embolization

When ED is caused by a venous leak — blood draining too quickly from the penis — venous leak embolization uses catheter-guided treatment to seal the faulty veins and restore natural function.

Varicocele Treatment: Gonadal Vein Embolization

Varicoceles (enlarged veins in the scrotum) can cause pain, testicular shrinkage, and fertility issues. Gonadal vein embolization uses micro-coils to permanently close the affected vein, relieving symptoms without surgery.
